Note: This page information is regarding volunteer positions only.  Seasonal employment is also available.

Thank you for your interest in volunteer ministry for summer 2012!  Volunteers are much appreciated because they are central to the success of CAPNWP ministries at Camp Lambec and Westminster Highlands.  This page contains information about CAPNWP volunteer service, how to apply, and what you can expect before and during your service.

Because CAPNWP is now using new record-keeping and training procedures to fulfill regulations and standards, all Youth Camp, Family Camp, and Special Event volunteers are required to submit an application:

In both cases, the Program Coordinator or Chaplain of the program in which you’ll serve will contact you about any training and preparation he or she requires.

Here’s how to apply and what to expect:

  1. Check the dates and events in which you would like to serve in our 2012 brochure.  Select one or more events and volunteer for positions of interest to you.
  2. Complete, sign and mail* the appropriate application form directly to CAPNWP as soon as possible – please do not give your application to someone else to pass on.  It is to your advantage to apply quickly – even if you’re unsure of your summer plans – because:
    • —The deadline for all volunteer applications for the summer 2012 season is 15 May 2012.
    • If you’re a new volunteer, you may be asked to attend a Volunteer Orientation this spring.
    • Your Program Coordinator may ask all volunteers to meet or do other preparations this spring.
  3. Then complete the blank lines on page 1 of EACH reference form and give it to your reference(s) with the directions to mail* it/them directly back to CAPNWP as soon as possible.
  4. Volunteers are accepted if:
    • —Their application, reference(s) and background checks are satisfactory and on time.
    • —New volunteers attend Volunteer Orientation this spring (if asked).
    • —Returning volunteers attend a Volunteer Orientation once every three years.
    • —Their respective Program Coordinator accepts them.
    • —There are an adequate number of participants to justify the number of volunteers.
If accepted, you’ll be contacted by phone or email. Then you will receive other paperwork which must be completed and returned to CAPNWP before your event begins.
CAPNWP looks forward to receiving your application soon and to working with you so that campers and guests will indeed be nurtured in faith, enriched in character and renewed in body and spirit.

In Christ’s Service,
CAPNWP Board of Directors
and Leadership Staff

* Since original signatures are necessary on the application and reference forms, these must be mailed to CAPNWP.  Although you may fax or email your completed application materials to CAPNWP (as a PDF or MSWord document), you’ll need to supply an original signature before starting your volunteer service.
